Mr. Miller provides consulting, expert and engineering services that are supported by a unique combination of specialized professional knowledge, education and background that include twenty-five years of appliance design and manufacturing experience combined with more than more than twenty-five years of experience in forensic and product liability investigations.
His professional background includes:
Twenty-three years of experience as Project Engineer and Engineering Manager at
Lakewood Engineering and Manufacturing Company-a high volume manufacturer of
electric space heaters, electric fans, motors and controls-where he was responsible for the
design, manufacture and quality of the entire line of Lakewood products.
More than twenty five years of experience in forensic and product liability investigations,
including more than fifteen years of experience as the corporate representative for
Lakewood, where he supplied expert and engineering consulting expertise in numerous large
and small product liability investigations and claims.
More than twenty years of experience working with Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) to
list and maintain the UL listing for hundreds of electric appliances and components.
Mr. Miller holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Illinois, Chicago and is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) with the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) and belongs to several professional organizations and associations.
